Vector Products of Two Vectors



 
Vector products, also know as the "cross product" is used in statics to find the moment about a point or axis. This can be done for 2D and 3D problems but in most cases it isn't done for 2D problems since it is typically faster to simply use force times distance.

In this section we are just reviewing the concepts of the cross product, which you probably already learned in a math class.
